THE STORY BEHIND OUR FABRICS...

OUR LINE WAS INSPIRED BY OUR AMAZING TEXTILES
Most of our beautiful fabrics are handmade by a group of Balinese artisans using natural cottons and locally sourced plant dyes. From the moment we arrived at their studio located in the tropical forest just outside Ubud, we were obsessed with their designs, eco-friendly manufacturing practices and the obvious love they put into each and every creation.

THE DYING PROCESS
Local plant leaves, barks and even seeds are used to create the natural dye. Once the color is determined, a unique blend of these plants are placed in vats of water to naturally ferment and achieve just the right hue.

NATURAL COLORS AND FIBERS
The earth inspired color palette of our fabrics lends itself perfectly to the bohemian spirit we were hoping to capture in this collection...including the amazingly bright indigo dye we used for our Tulum Poncho (below).

HANDMADE WITH LOVE IN BALI, INDONESIA
All of our fabrics are distinguished by their soft, light touch and their ultimate wearability. Due to the natural dying process, colors may fade and you may notice slight differences or irregularities - but that is the beauty of mother nature...we think it makes our pieces much more special and we hope you think so too!
